Welcome to the Glade Bridge Fund association website! This is where you’ll find information about the work of the association and the bridge itself as well as the general history of The Glade and surrounding area.
We have shared some useful documents, including a letter to give to your carriers & tradesmen prior to receiving deliveries, as well as recent communications from Network Rail regarding the weight limit of the bridge.
The association objective is to preserve and improve the only access over the Glade Bridge to Woodside, The Glade and Commonside, in particular:
- To liaise with Network rail, who ultimately own and have responsibility for the Bridge itself
- To manage, maintain and repair the Bridge access road, roughly 100m from the beginning of The Glade private road, across the bridge to the turning to Woodside
- To liaise with Mole Valley District Council, Surrey County Council & other interested parties
- To inform Residents at least annually of news about the bridge and access road
